"The BRZ/GT86 Needs more power!"
"The new mustang needs to be lighter!"
"Toyota needs something to slot between the 86 and the IS-F!"
Here you go. Now hurry up and get one before Nissan decides to do something about the crappy sales.

If I had money and lived in a place where they sell these, I'd totally get mine!

I was watching a video from I think EVO, and they dropped the price in Europe to $26k. I'd buy it then.
EDIT: I lied about everything. It was chris harris on cars and they dropped the price to $29k in Europe. /illseemyselfout

This. So much this. Was always confused why these don't sell better.

They're available here for 29,9 also. So worth it.

I read on one of the car mag sites where they were showing you how to build the perfect $30k Toyobaru. I don't see where the car they built could ever compare to the base model of this car (which starts right there).

But it barely costs more than a BRZ here and that doesn't exactly have an amazing engine.

But this comes with a warranty and can be financed.

Yeah I know they're good cars but I put a lot of worth into how a car sounds. Personally haven't heard a great sounding VQ yet. Then again it's very much a matter of personal preference.

I know hence the "EDIT: I lied about everything ….. /illseemyselfout".
But in the words of Chris Harris "Its a great car to look at and its fast. But if you love driving, you'll be better off elsewhere."

That's fair. We don't get any v8s over here (UK) so for rwd cars in that price range it's basically the 370 and gt86/brz and personally out of that group I'd take the 370 on engine sound. Hard to beat a nicely tuned v8 though.

what's so bad about a nissan v6? I'm curious.

Why would someone not want a series of engines that's been in the Wards top 10 engines for 15 years? (VQ30, 35, and 37)

They're great cars but those nissan VQ engines don't sound "cool". That's just me though, I never warmed up to any v6 really, just because of the sound.

ok that one sounds pretty ace. I meant of all the VQ Z cars and infinities being driven on the street with street exhaust, I haven't heard a muffler/pipe setup that sounds "cool".

They're good engines but don't sound gnarly. It's the one thing I could never warm up to on the VQ Z cars and Infinities.

The Z is a great all around performance deal, not making you choose between relatively light weight and reasonable power. And the 370 upgraded engine and suspension while cutting weight from the 350, which is unheard of these days.
But they sold a million 350Zs and the engine is used in a million other cars, therefore the 370Z can't be considered "Jalop" (weird and quirky).

I'd drive mine on the street sounding like that, just..be carefull around cops.. pretty much any VQ35 sounds good with long tube headers..though LS swap's are good too :)

ah I see. Same engine as the G37? Those sound pretty nice. Go aftermarket and I'd bet you could find something you liked.

Base MSRP for MSRP, the Genesis costs only 2% less than a comparable 370z. Nationwide, there are great deals for people who live in Texas or Georgia, but everyone else is going to pay the $30k average , with the cheapest deals hovering around $26k - which is the same story for nationwide 370z's.
A Genesis cannot be spec'd up to $40k and beyond. But in turn, you cannot get a Genesis convertible. A vert Genesis would likely follow the vert 370zs closely in pricing, as the hardtop cars apparently do.
